2. Backlinks reported by search engines do not necessarily mean they are counted by the algorithm, either 100%, partially, or at all.
3. The backlink counts aren't generally updated that quickly
The best way to determine the efficacy of a link is if your ranking bounces around within a week or so. But don't worry about how good your acquisition is, just keep moving.
In addition look-up if your link is nofollow or dofollow.
If all is well, then as suggested by martinibuster -- it takes time for newly acquired links to show up as backlinks.
