I was hoping someone could please help me with this.

In Xenu's Link Sleuth, in the Xenu's Starting Point window, where you type in the url, there is a downward arrow button and if you click on it, it shows you the sites that you have checked using the program.

My question is, is is there any way to delete the sites that it shows over there when you click the downward arrow button? I don't want the website urls looked at to remain.

I have looked at the features but have not found anything.

I would appreciate anyone'e help.

They are stored in the Xenu.ini file, in the Application Data folder.

Incorrect editing of that file could render the application useless. be careful.

Thank you for this information. It is great.

Can you please tell me where the Application Data folder is located?

I don't think it is in the Xenu Link Sleuth program and I was not able to locate it.

Depends which version of Windows you are running.

It's probably also a 'hidden' folder.

What does a search on 'C:\' for 'xenu.ini' find?

I am using Windows Vista.

I clicked on my C drive and there is a search bar in the upper-right corner. I typed xenu.ini but I am getting No items match your search.

Is there another way that I can find the xenu.ini file?

I really appreciate your help.

Just search for Xenu and when it finds the xenu folder explore it and you'll find the file you're looking for. Mine was in MyDocs. I took a look at that file and wouldn't want to touch it without first reviewing what a brand new install looks like. So once you located the file, bookmark it then download another instance of xenu but download it to a different folder. Locate the clean .ini file and compare it with the older one.

I first wanted to say thank you for that detailed response.

What I did is I went to my C drive and then I typed xenu in the search box in the upper right. Several things came up: Xenu's Link Sleuth File Folder and some Shortcut Icons (i.e. License agreement, What's new). I clicked on the File Folder and inside it there are basically only Shortcut Icons.

I don't see any more files, such as the xenu.ini file. Am I doing something wrong? I think the way you mentioned to search for the folder is a good way and that is what I did but I am basically only getting Shortcut icons.

Are you using Windows Vista? Maybe Vista is a little different. But I would really like to find the xenu.ini file.

I would appreciate if you could please tell me what I could do.

BillyS, I see the xenu.ini file where you mentioned. Thank you for telling me where it is.

Also, martinibuster, thank you for telling me how to proceed with looking at the xenu.ini file. That is good advice.
