Tracking links of competitors: queries blocked by search engines

Hello,

I am trying to find out where my competitors have links to increase my page rank and create links for my website but when I go on yahoo.com and type:linkdomain :mycompetitorsname.com after one page yahoo or google whoever I use detects I am trying to find out who as link and blocks me !

Is there a way to get around this so that I can do more than 2 pages of links and have to wait an hour until I can do it again !

I use Yahoo SiteExplorer to get more complete link data, and I almost never get blocked for manual queries.

I had similar issue once after I installed a SEO plugin for Firefox which made lots of automatic queries to Google and Yahoo. After I changed options of this plugin and disabled getting some info from Google and Yahoo I never had this problem again.
