Someone (probably from Linkedin.com) have asked us if we want to get listed at linkedin.com. But we are afraid that such listing could make problems for us reagrds the SERP (we are today very satisfied with the serp we have).
Do any of you have any bad experience with being listed in this database ?

I've never had a bad experience creating a link to a website from LinkedIn. LinkedIn is both aged and trusted - shouldn't be an issue.

Is the link coming from a profile page? To my knowledge, these links pass value.

If you're thinking of having a company page created within LinkedIn, that shouldn't cause any issues with SEO either. The only problem that I could foresee is your LinkedIn company page being listed higher in the SERPs than your own website - though if you've done a little bit of off-site SEO I doubt this would happen.

Thanks for your replay. I'm glad there is people out there that can help us take decissions for things like this.
Also a company named "Plaxo" have asked us to put a link to us at their site, but again we are a bit concerned.
Thanks a lot for helpful information
