At least one of the major article directories has started to put nofollow on their outbound links.

Someone mentioned this in the supporters forum, so I started to check my own articles and also found some nofollows.

So I just thought I'd mention it here as a tip to others to keep in mind when you are syndicating articles. When places are getting well written articles for free, I think the least they can do is give a link back to the site owner.

Did you have to check the source to see if the rel= nofollow? Does the directory tell people about this?

I did check the source code and I'm doing a spot check on all of articles on the places I regularly submit to to make sure they don't put nofollows in after the articles have been up for awhile.

I don't think most people would submit articles if they were not getting paid or getting a real link in return, so I doubt any of the places that add the nofollows make it obvious.
