Hi,

I've looked on a certain site and the outbound links they give in a php page when you view source are of the form on a made up site called example.net to made up example.com:

<a href="http://www.example.net/outbound.php?url=http://www.example.com" class='f12' style="color:#3769A8" target="_blank" alt="External link to http://www.example.com" title="External link to http://www.example.com">

Would Google, Yahoo, MSN bots follow this kind of link or not be able to. I have checked backlinks from www.example.com on Yahoo and www.example.net isn't mentioned.

Thanks for any advice.

That's a redirected link via a PHP script and unless the site sends you traffic, of very little value. In the past such links were responsible for the infamous Google 302 hijacking.

I'd be careful.

Agreed. Its deceptive , as visually you think you are getting a link, until your browse the sourcecode.
