Google Giving Credit for Nofollow Links?

I was checking my inbound links and saw something interesting. I had commented on a .gov blog story recently and included a (very relevant) link to my site within the comment. Now, a month later, I see that Google lists the inbound link in the link: search, and also lists the inbound link on the webmaster tools external link report.

Looking at the source code of the linking page, there's a rel="nofollow" tag in the link to my page, but clearly, Google has credited me with that inbound link.

Does this mean that I've been given passthrough pr? Or... not necessarily?

G's just trying to be helpful. A recent comment by Matt Cutts:

we don't follow nofollow links, but we do include nofollow links in the webmaster console just to give webmasters a full picture of all the stuff that's linking to them.

1.What is shown in Google link searches are not necessarily counting.

2.What is NOT showin in Google link searches are not necessarily missing- link searches are incomplete, they're just a sample.

3. Never rely on Google searches for SEO purposes, the information is often incomplete or not what you think it is.

Need more info on how Google works? We have a Google forum. ;)
