Understanding the different methods of checking an indexed page in Google

For my link building campaign I only link to indexed pages, but I'm not to sure which way is the correct way to check if a page is indexed in Google.

Eg.
My page [www.domain.com/page.html]gets different results in Googles indexing searches.

site:www.domain.com/page.html in googles search shows that the page is indexed, so does info:www.domain.com/page.html.

But if I place www.domain.com/page.html in the Google search, it says nothing can be found on that document (this is the method I normally use, but after seeing the page indexed using site: and info: I'm not to sure if this is the correct way to check if a page is indexed).

Does anyone know the difference between the three, and which one I should be using?

Many thanks in advance.

Copy a few words from a page and search it using quotation marks.
