Software to track success of article syndication and press releases?

Hello,

I've been scouring the web trying to find software that will automatically help me do the following:

1) track how many external websites have indexed both articles and press releases that I've written

2) track how many backlinks I've gotten from each of those pieces of content.

If anybody has found something like that I would be deeply indebted.

I just use Google alerts to track all instances of a sentence from either a press release or article submission so I get alerted every time that sentence appears online, which is likely when it gets scraped or picked up.
