What is Co-citation links?

hello every one can any body explain me the co-citation in detail...

Co-citation explains how you are linked to different websites.
If they fall in the right category (or right linking neighborhood)then you have a good co-citation and if not then it is said to be a bad co-citation.

For Example: If you have a shoes web site, then your possible niche could be websites related to shoes. So, if you link to shoe related websites, then your co-citation would be falling in the shoes category. This is good co-citation (means linking to good neighborhood, which is shoes for you in this case

Bad co-citation occurs when your website falls in shoes category and you link to web design or any other irrelevant field.
