Widgetboxes and Link Popularity

Does anybody know if widgetboxes increase link populrity...

If yes... does it make a difference if the widgetbox just links to a flash file from my site ( without html link ) or if it includes text with plus html links...

I mean in both cases the box refers to something on my domain...
So the link popularity should increase either way....

Or do the links get lost cus of the java script and only the widget box domain gets the popularity...

Hmmmmm?

Do u mean Keyword box by widgetbox.
If keyword box is widgetbox then from what I understand it will appear at the top of the page with only keywords in it.
So should we consider it as a SPAM trigger.

No... thats like an advertisemant, only that you don¨t pay for it...

Users pick your widget ( lets say mini-site or flash element ) and publish it on their site.

You can publish a link with your widget so that people can click to your site.
It work with a javascript so im not sure if when a user publishes your widget, if this counts like a link ( but i think probably not )
