Can we give a link to the new version of the same site with old one?

hi every body i have a question for all of you linking experts i have a site which is now five years old and is running very successfully now i have launched the uk version of the same site tell me that can we place link of the new site on the old site or this is wrong.

On what you've said, no problem at all.

But do be careful that the UK site does not heavily duplicate the content of the original site, or it may have problems - and the link will bring that to SE's attention.
