i know there is refusing chances too in directories. but i am little confuse. i have few question in mind, i will sleep with peace if some one can answer me briefly.

Q1: is this (which i am doing)a right way to get link popularity?
Q2: does google like it?
Q3: how much submission i can do per day or per month.

It's the wrong way to obtain link popularity. There are perhaps only four directories worth submitting to. The rest are link farms.

1. DMOZ
2. Yahoo
3. BOTW
4. Business.com

Q2: does google like it?
Same question and answer as number one.

Q3: how much submission i can do per day or per month.
Same question and answer as number one.

Submitting to directories is still worth it. There are thousands of decent directories worth having a link on. I have built a website up on google , yahoo and msn for 4 sets of competitive terms by mostly submitting to directories.

You should not focus purely on directories. Your link campaign should include links from good static pages with few outgoing links with relevant content.

However, as I have tested, directories are NOT bad and are not ALL link farms.

Yes, they pretty much are all link farms. They're buying links to pump up their Toolbar PageRank score, then promoting them off the forums they own, off of lists of directories, off of the DMOZ categories that they control and on other forums.

Hasn't anybody learned anything since BlueFind got flushed down the toilet?
