Extracting search results for database

I would like to do a comparison between the links that a competitor and I have.

The results of a link:www.mysite.com search at the main sites provides about 200-400 results, depending on the search site.

I would like to know if anyone has a solution for importing these results into an Excel spreadsheet. Is there a software that will do this, or is it a matter of copying and pasting?

Offhand, I don't know of any off-the-shelf solutions. However, the intrepid can pull the source to the pages into a text editor (all 8 of them). Then you can either run your text editors HTML stripper, or write a quick keyboard macro to strip down the pages into something you can paste into excell.

There's a commercial windows app that does what you want. It's called RankSpy. It basically collects all incoming links for an url from different search engines you select.
