Probably.

Big sites get more than 1000 extra links a week I am sure - without penalty.

But my guess is that you are not the BBC :) The difference is that they don't ask for links, we all link because they are good stories. They also don't get 1000 links to the same page. They get them all over their site. They also have about 15 million pages of quality content, so you have to get your link building efforts into perspective.

Go slow to begin with. 1000 links a week sure looks like spamming

If you can get 1000's of quality inbound links within a week, forget about the search engines. That will be enough traffic for you to not have to worry about Google.

If you can get links that fast aside from comment spam, forum spam, site wide buys or other types of purchases, I'd be surprised.

Right now, as far as I can see, to google a link is a link is a link...but they're not building all that processing power simply to index content. At some point, WHERE YOU LINKS COME FROM is going to make a big difference in how well you rank. I don't think you'll get penalized if the majority of your links are from paid directories, reciprocals, articles, forum and comment spam, but it will make a ranking difference if those are your only links and your competitor has links that appear more to be honest votes.

I have many one way links from blogs to my website.
All those bloggers have added my website link on their page which appear site-wide.

So, whenever these bloggers add content, i get one extra link. I have about quality one way links all related to my website theme/content.
Will this affect my website?
I have very few OBL's.

Please help
