Hi,
I have a client who has a customer base of 3500 and most would be willing to link to my client's site.
Most would be on topic or in a similar field. "Chemicals"

In developing these links would these be considerde natural and the best way forward for my clients website. I am also aware that I have to be careful on how many links are created weekly or is this not a real issue.

Thanks

Hi chris and welcome to webmasterworld [webmasterworld.com]. If you could better clarify, it may help you get some answers. You stated that your client could get related inbound links from their clients and that it would be natural - was that a question or a statement? If a statement, it would seem your question is whether or not you should be wary [webmasterworld.com] of adding [webmasterworld.com] 3500 links too quickly [webmasterworld.com]?

Thanks for those threads, very helpful.

My strategy will be to add the links over a 12 month period or longer, targeting different pages with anchor text relevant to the content.

For me it isn't an issue. I'd get the links as fast as you could. Remember links aren't just about SE they also bring in traffic. What I think might happen is that at some point all those links will stop helping you in the SE but I don’t think that means a penalty, IMHO.

Dont get all 3500 to link tou together. Spread it over a period of time. The fact that u r getting so many natural 1 way links is gr8 news for ur site.
