I am curious to know others thoughts on the best methods of sourcing potential buyers for paid text links without using a broker?

Judging by my spam email folder, the best way is to have a site that people want to have a link from; get that and they'll come, believe me.

Most do not want to pay much; I believe that's why people use middlemen - they take commission, but the income they create still makes it a 'good deal'.

I should emphasize I'm speaking as an observer here; under the hood things may be different. Plus I'm sure you've read the recent issues about paidlinks ;)
