has anyone looked into what the related search feature does....

I did a related:www.site search today and noticed that out of about 29 results 6-9 of them where way off?

i run an auto web site and some of the related sites returned where results for, 2.5¢ Discount Long Distance, Exchange POP3 Connectivity, Coupons Online, and Business Opportunities...

none of which are related sites...

could this be from expired links on my site that now point to these sites?

Are you exchanging with tons of sites not neccessarily related to auto things (especially in these topic areas)?

Similar/related results are like a core sample of a sites' linkage and can be extremely useful in determining the overall "quality" of a sites' linkage, IMO.

i thought it might be related to what my site links out to....

i asked g but doubt they will respond, i guess this is where they are getting mad about buying and selling links.

One, I only linke to sites related to my... and only allow advertisers to do the same... be site related...

I do have a ton of links... outbound about 20k which its very possible a few have been bought up by these sites...
