By the way, I have created a new FREE page listing, sharing and broadcast network web site that allow people to change pages links on their own web site. However, It seems to me that no one want to put links on their web site. They just want to get linked.
I guess unless I have PR4+ site, no one want to link back to me ..:-(
How do you get a PR of 4-6 without exchanging links.
I have one PR6 site for which I might have done all of a dozen link exchanges over the years. Yet it has 14K+ inbound links according to Yahoo. Another site is PR5 with 12K+ IBLs and 2 other PR5 sites with 1-3K IBLs, none of which ever did any link exchanges.
There is nothing wrong with relevant link exchange when usefulness for the end user and editorial discretion is maintained.
It's not possible for most sites that don't have fortune 500 marketing budgets It's not possible for most sites that don't have fortune 500 marketing budgets
Did it happen overnight? Of course not. If you're expecting overnight results, then you probably need to go the Fortune 500 budget or cure for cancer.
Did it happen by just wishing it true? Of course not. It took days and weeks and years of writing good content, developing a thriving online community, and building a brand.
And I agree that there is nothing wrong with relevant link exchanges. As I said, we have done some. But most of the requests I get are so off-topic that I don't even bother replying. Of the few that we requested, most were accepted; not because of a recip link, but because they felt our site was worth linking to.
I guess I am so used to folks referring to "get rich quick schemes" and how to "get a PR of 4-6 without exchanging links" ... in a short time period.
You are right it can be done in long term without exchanging links with the proper content development and old age domain.
Start thinking about what your target customer might be looking for and build pages around that.
Now as for getting a PR4-6 site one link from another PR5-PR6 site is enough to get your site there. Why not try and find a valuable resource in your industry and do something useful to try and get a link from them?
One link is all it take if what you are after is PageRank ... valuable content is all it takes if you are after a successfull site!
