I was looking for the answer for this dude I have, but I saw a lot of contradictory meanings. So, I need some help to clear this question.
we are 20 people with website. We are all musicians, friend of Music school. We are thinking to link ourselves. Do you think google will look this as a SPAM?. All this websites are really nice design and with interesting information. All about music.
I don't know if I do that, Google will see this links like a votes or not.

And the last thing. Do you think is better all with all, or doing three Groups, A, B, C, and link people from Group A with B, B with C and C with A.

Short answer: Go ahead.

Longer answer: Think of it from the user's point of view, not from the SE's viewpoint. If a user might be interested in your buddies' websites, then there is no reason why you shouldn't link to them.

A general piece of advice: If you are unfamiliar with SEO, don't try to trick the system.
