Selling links - where?

I have two websites with highly specific topics in well-competed subjects packed with unique information, both rank at PR5 on the homepage (personally, I don't care about PRs, but many people do).

Since both are in highly competitive fields, I don't get much traffic (less than 200 unique visitors a day on each), so I thought that I could sell banners from the homepage for a few dollars a day.

Does anybody know the best way of doing this? Identifying big players in the industry and e-mailing them politely?

The thing is that I would offer the first links in the HTML codes on a highly relevant website with only say 5 outbound links on the page - no spammy directory entry or anything. Therefore, it should be ideal for SEO despite of the low traffic to expect - will people recognize the value of the offer?

Do you want to sell ad-links?

Yes - though the real value probably comes for SEO.

No.
People looking for SEOable links will see mostly your PR5 green bar.

You can find a less targeted but still nice PR8 for 175$ and even a lot of PR5 sites for 25$.

If you are thinking about a few, few dollars, go away. You should better write some content and monetize your PR5 in the long term.

Thanks, Lexur. The long-term monetizing was the original plan, but I currently lack the time and thought a few dollars are better than no dollars.

I assume you mean 25 Dollars a month?
