I contacted the author of a site that gets ranked 5th place for an article containing a particular keyword term related to my site. The author o.k'ed that my site be used as a reference and suggested putting up a banner ad. I thought it'll be better just to have an anchor text in the article linking back to my own site.
What do you suggest? What works best from an seo perspective?
If it's an anchor text, where should it be positioned in the article?
