Reciprocal link requests - no URL given

because of "Spam Policies"

I rarely bother with link exchange requests anymore. Only if it's a related site that would benefit my visitors AND I have a good spot for (so we're talking a 1 in 1000 request here).

But I always glance at them... often I get these ones that say how much they love my site (ha) but because of rigorous anti-Spam policies, they can't provide a URL. Today's latest came from a Hotmail account.

Is this for real? I know that ISPs and hosts have rules in place about Spam... but if it were true, you'd think it would be effective for ALL ISPs.

Adding that email address to your Junk filter might be the best bet.

They spam and if they give the url spamcop will blacklist the IP. He or she is sending bulk mails that is why.

Cool, thanks... these emails only get half a glance before they're deleted anyway.
