Lately I was wondering about link building strategies.
Almost everywhere we can now read that buying links and taking part in automatic link exchange programs doesn't work anymore. It is alsow said that you can get sandbox because of that kind of link building strategy?

I agree that it takes a lot of time to get good quality links to your page.

But when I type popular keywords into search engines I see in top results pages that have those thousands of backlinks which come from automatic link exchange programs.

What about that? Theory is one thing but practically it looks just opposite.

What's your opinion?

IMHO there is absolutly nothing wrong with buying links on very relevant sites. Until google changes the backbone of there algo. this will always be a factor and worth doing.

automatic link exchange programs- yea just stay away from those. anything "automatic" with regards to site optimization is asking for toruble.
