link aging

I have a question

Let's say that i got an one way backlink from a PR8 page. After google index and redo the pagerank, my PR0 page becomes a PR5 page. (please don't deny this possibility, it happened to one of my pages). Remember, this page has no other links in or out from any other page.

Now, if the PR8 link goes away after a month, would my page go back to PR0 after google recrawl?

One PR8 link would probably move a site to a PR6 or maybe a PR7. If that was your only link and you removed it you would most likely drop to a PR 0 at the next PR update.
