Hi,

Something i feel like sharing :

My links page toolbar PR value jumps between 0 and 4 lately. There are many threads describing this phenomenon.

I don't really mind except that it interferes with link exchange.

When people check out my site to decide if to trade links with me then they might catch me on a "pr=0" moment.

I'm thinking to halt my linkexchange program until PR values stabilize.

In my opinion PR has become such a valueless commodity that most webmasters do not (or should not) consider PR as an important part of a link exchange. In fact, link exchanges themselves are becoming a lesser factor in determining a sites value and therefore its rankings.

The old 'increase your PR with a link exchange' business is pretty much dead.

These days I do not take PR into consideration at all when it comes to links. I prefer to link to sites that are authorities in my niche and to sites that are so relevant it hurts, regardless of rankings or PR ;)

Rethink that from the start. Links pages are being devalued.
