How to check for incoming links, excluding internal links

Google's no good for determining such a thing. Yahoo is the one I use. Try "linkdomain:site.com -site:site.com", and doing a "linkdomain:site.com". Subtract the first number from the second number and it should give you a pretty good idea of the number of incoming links, excluding internal links.
