hello everyone!

I am assigned to be the team leader of a group assigned to submit the sites of our new client to to directories. Although it was not directly stated, I suppose the client wanted us to do automated directory submission because he thinks that the smater thing to do. As I was working on it, the software he gave us can not submit to directories that require codes -- must be some robots installed. These ones are also good directories because as far as their PR is concerned, it's very high.

Which is really better -- automated directory submission or manual submission?

How can you manage the manual direction submission if it is large number of directory? For the important directory, the best way is to submit manually. Do you think that less important directories could be submitted by automated?

IMO manual is better because its better to vary your title and description for each and every submission , thats what I do it anyway.

Well, if a directory is worth it for the link or traffic, then it might be worth doing it manually, do you not think?

If it's not worth it for either, then why would you want to waste any time being a part of it? (Especially given that a directory that would accept submissions made automatically would make me think "hmmm" about the potential quality of the listings around me.)

manually submit the important category index pages of the directory ... IF the pages are well constructed everything will fill in courtesy of the bots and crawly things

Manual is best, because you will only get the high-quality directory links that way. Automated submissions may get you quantity of links over quality, but how many directories that don't use captcha will be around next year?
