What's considered a link farm

The reason I ask is, I've got a recip. link page, thats getting a little big. Every site that I link with is very relevant to my niche.

Will I get frowned upon by the search engines for having too many links on one page, even if they are all relevant?

Also - What if I broke up that page into several smaller pages. Would that help my ranking (e.g. - More content, all of which is linked to the home page)
