Do Redirected Links Count?

It is obvious a http://www.example.com is a link to this website, but are other ways of 'redirecting' to this website counted as link, eg. from the outgoing linking website, [.example.com...]

Would this sort of redirection be counted as a link?

Also,does it make a difference to link from a text link or an image button. Does the TITLE of the link or the ALT text for the image button matter?

No.
Simply pick any listing and check if the link appears in it's backlinks. It won't.

If you have any question if the link counts, just check the backlinks of any sites that are already listed.
