Say my site is all about Sport, but sport is far too general a search term.

Within the site there are 10 main categories;

Tennis
Football
Ice Hockey
Baseball
Cricket
Track
etc etc

Each subsection is just as important as the other for traffic/income generation.

Now, I would like to buy some links, how would others deal with the link text? 'Sport' I would think is not the keyword to target.

Say I want 100 inbound links, would perhaps getting 10 text links for each of the 10 sub-sections of the site be the way handle the situation?

How have others dealt with this kind of situation?

Firstly I would decide why I wanted links.

Is it SEO - then a mixture of all them is good.

Is it sales - then which products earn you the most net profit

Is it advertising - then which channels on the site earn you the most income.

That's a nice way of breaking down the problem, thanks Cell for giving me some ideas to work on.

Hello Calculus,

Your name suggest that you love Maths. Well as far as your problem is concern you should have links with the different different keywords. Use some keywords in title and few different keywords in the text.
