msn links, yahoo links, google links?

Hello, can anyone explain to me what are msn links, yahoo links, google links? When I check my site on link popularity, this is what I get. I thought links are just links....

The search engine link count is a rough estimate of how many links each search engine found that point to your page.

These link counts arent to acurate.

To add to Mack's post, Google's shows a fraction of links, while Yahoo & MSN show what they find.

Try using linkdomain to see links to a domain, and -site:yoursitename.com to just see inbounds.

I find the link counts reported by Yahoo to be quite accurate. I know exactly where my links have gone and Yahoo has found them all, but not my site! Google on the other hand has found my site but none of the links! It is a strange search engine world.
