Dear All,

I have created about 40 links in this month of my website. Some links are article posting. Some links are link exchange.
I watch my complitior's link for reference.
When I check link on Google as:
link : www.mydomain.com
I have Results 1 - 36 of about 390 .
But my website hasn't increase the ranking and traffic. And the linking popularity in Google is "1" only.
Now I add my website to one website.
How can I increase the traffic from linking popularity.

Thanks!

Kitty

If you check your links (and your competitors) on Yahoo or Alltheweb you'll get a much more accurate picture of who's linking to who. Google deliberately doesn't show the full picture.

To increase traffic from your links, there's two basic strategies.

1. Get enough links, and the right links, for your keywords that search engines send you traffic based on those phrases. This is tricky, and fickle, but can be very successful. There are lots of tips in these forums on accomplishing this. Just always remember all the traffic can vanish in the next update.

2. Get good links from other sites that deal with your topic and have plenty of traffic. These will send you a steady dependable source of traffic for many years. This will require some thought and exploring, a site worth humans recommending, and maybe a bit of sweet-talking. Note that success here tends to bring success with strategy 1 as a bonus.
