Hi,

I know reciprocal linking was always and will always be there, but it was lossing the value after webmasters started manipulating it for SERP rankings.

Now I see a lot of people are emphasising on reciprocal linking, is it finding extra favours in Big G's eye? Many people are mailing me asking for a reciprocal links and they mentioned that they wont accept anything apart from reciprocal links.

One way Links
I always thought its the best to get and still go by that.

Two way or reciprocal links
I can only link to thematic sites and reciprocal links too are very helpful and it is like building partnership in the same or related industry.

Which one will you prefer?

You can still get one way inbound links, but probably not by sitting in outlook sending emails :).

I've had success using one way inbounds and have never done recips. Others have had and continue to do well with reciprocals.

I think it's a question of quality vs. quantity. One quality inbound link is worth a lot of reciprocals. But the reciprocals are easier to get. Spend your time figuring out how to get one ways and get fewer, or spend your time figuring out how to get large numbers of recips without getting penalized. either will work.

chrisnrae has a post in the supporters forum from a few months ago that is the beginners bible to getting one way inbounds. If you've got the funds for a subscription, I think you'll find the post is worth the cost. It won't show you everything, but it will get you to the point of knowing what questions to ask and where to start investigating.

I would always prefer one-way links over reciprocals, but I don't shy away from recips. Recips have value to me if they are from relevant sites to my own. Also, I tend to stay away from recips that have complex "categories" for their link exchange partners. If I exchange links, I want it to be on pages that are actually visited on their site. If they are willing to "rent" text links on their homepage or top level pages, then I would probably do that first.
