Linkmonkey?

In another thread someone referred to a link hunter as a link monkey.

Excuse me, but what is a linkmonkey? A person who does the link management for you? A "linkmonkey?"

A person, who does the link management for you, would be the correct interpretation. Although the term 'monkey' implies inferiority.... less than human.

I've seen a passle of monkeys and I've seen a fair share of humankind.

A link monkey is a link hunter. The task is very repetitive, very simple (should be) and does not require massive brain power, therefore not intended for rocket scientist.

Monkeys are known to have diminished brain power/capacity, that’s how it all fits in.
