Nice conversation, gave me a pretty good feel for the deal. I'm wondering how others handle these calls.
Do you solicit links on the phone? How does it work out, better than email response, or worse?
If you get these calls, how do you handle them?
Also, anyone know the implications of calling a residential number (when the domain is reg'ed to a person) regarding business in reference to the do not call list? I was curious if anyone had checked it out.
if I starting getting more than one or two a month, I'd get real pissed, real quick.
Would you feel different if they were offering money for ad space rather than just a free link?

That's an interesting question. I too would like to know if anyone has looked into this aspect.
Usually it's because the linker is being slow at fixing something or putting up a link.
Define slow. I'm not sure I would take kindly to being called in this situation if we were talking about a free link. Of course if it was a paid ad, that would be different.
