Automated link script?

I had seen in the past on some sites that offered a link page where the person can add their site to a link script that verifies that a reciprocal link pointing back to us is verified before their link goes live on our site. Does any one know of a script that I can integrate into my site that can do this?

• Search using your favorite search engine. When looking for scripts, it's a good idea to use the word script, and the word "download" plus "Link" in order to find what you need, or best bet, Link Management Script.

• There are a number of script download directories. Do a search for Free Scrips, or Script directory to find one. Then search for "link" or "Link Management Script."
  

And don't restrict your search to Google. Try Yahoo or dmoz, too.
