Link not being spidered

Link not coming up in back links why?

I have a text link on a high ranked site for the last few months when I check by back links on Google it does not appear can any body give me a reason why.

Hello Maza, welcome to WW.

The site may in fact be blocked from passing PR. If your link has been live for more than 2 months and you're definitely not seeing it in your backlinks that is probably the case.

Check other sites that the site in question links to. Do they show it as a backlink?

Thanks WW just checked the other sites back links and they do appear. I also checked when my link went live and it's under two months.

Another thing to check is where on the page do you appear? If the page is really long and your link is on the bottom you may never be spidered.
