I would like to know where I can find info re: Links

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here and I am wondering where I can find any information relating to link building or if any of you guys could help me at all!

I am going to be starting a new job and will be intially responsible for link building for the site and I want to get myself up to speed really and find out what I need to look for and the things that are important and not so important etc etc....

Sorry if this is really vague and I am new to this so please be gentle :-)

I hope you guys can point me in the right direction!
