Greetingsz seo-people =]
i'm trying to promote my site by making other pages link to me.
everyone keeps talking about how pagerank is not for site, but for the pages themselves.
usually i see people ask others to link their main homepage url
example [homepage.com...]
but shouldn't we all ask them to link the page WHO'S LINKING BACK TO THEM?
(example : [homepage.com...] )
i know that eventually the link i return from [homepage.com...] to [homepage.com...]
affects my [homepage.com...] page, but i'm still confused on where it'll be best to ask other
to link back to me.
best regards
Mike

Think about your visitors.

If you as a visitor to a site found their links page and saw a site that was of interest to you, would you want to be taken to the home page of that site, or to the links page of that site?

Home page of course... or whatever page was relevant to the link that attracted your attention.

Yes, PR can flow up from your links page to your home page, but by the same token it flows down from your home page to your links page.. so your link partners still benefit by linking to your home page.
