Being relatively new to the web and previously quite lucky (pre-Florida) google rank #2 to #5 (now page 8 for main kw), I am looking for help in my link development. When requesting links, what is the proper format to post for my incoming links?
Is it best to have: keyword1 keyword2(as the link) followed by description?

That's not a bad way to go, Bronco. Post-Florida, there's a belief that too many identical links could be risky. If you follow a normal link development pattern, though, you'll probably get a mix of link styles anyway.

thanks! I have already seen various link back styles. Some list my url then description, others link with keyword(s) then description.
Would it be a good idea for me to request that those linking with my url switch to some form of keyword combination, then description, or should I be happy with the link and leave it be?

Be happy with the link and let it be. Make suggestions about wording for your link, but let other webmasters adapt that in whatever way suits their own optimization.

Aim to end up with a variety of link texts that work around your page/site theme, not all worded exactly the same, and you'll be fine. The more links you get, the less you'll need to worry about how any particular one is worded.

Time saving info, thanks. Any other ideas to boost the rankings? Now that Austin is dancing, i seem to be floating from 18-29 with the occassional pop at 10. Frustrating b/c for two years sat between 3-7.

Though you should vary the text in both the anchor and description, keywords in the anchor are still one of the best ways to build relevancy.
