We all know that trading links can be very time consuming and tedious. I was looking to hire someone part time to take this task on, until I ran across a company that will do this for you. (I wont violate the TOS and mention the specific company)

For a flat rate this company gurantees x amount of QUALITY link partners. They contact other sites and hit them up for a link trade. They guarantee the sites contacted are on-topic and no less than a PR3 and are not link farms!

Has anyone else heard of a company that offers these services? Has anyone outsourced this before? What should I look out for before I proceed?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld Cajun

I saw a post in the Commercial Exchange [webmasterworld.com] recently for someone looking to set something like that up. I think they were outsourcing to China to get cheaper labor. If you're looking for someone to do all of the labor intensive work, and you know how to get links yourself, why not train someone and have them do the work? An established company with a package like you mentioned sounds a bit too cookie-cutter, doesn't it?

I actually plan on doing both, outsource some and do some in-house. I want to see which permorms better for my company.

FWIW, I'd recommend you send the link requests yourself rather than having it done by a third party.
By all means get them to do the donkey work of finding possible links, but third party linking requests get right up my nose.

I have conducted in-house link exchanges and I have also contracted a third party to do some.

What they promised and delivered where two different stories. I found that they linked to sites off topic and some sites linked to were definitely bad neighborhoods. Some of the sites where no longer working.

I still think there is merit in contracting a company to do it, if they deliver what they promise.
