Places to get links

Is this the place to do it?

Hi,

I'm interested in reciprocal linking and..... is this the place where I canvas people? I know that I can happily search the web for the kind of site I'm interested in but I thought this would be a quick way to get a few?

Any suggestions / warnings?

Cheers, Sam.

We tend not to do it here as it can attract the wrong type of people to the boards!

Im not suggesting you by the way! :)

Not really, but you can pick up lots of tips in this forum :)

There is no quick way of getting high quality links IMO.

Soliciting links is frowned upon and noted in the Forum Charter [webmasterworld.com]

But, the Link Development Library [webmasterworld.com] has some excellent discussions about link strategies [webmasterworld.com] and suggestions for soliciting a reciprocal link [webmasterworld.com]. Don't forget about those one way links [webmasterworld.com].

Oooops I looked at the Library but not the Charter (duh!). Thanks for the links to previous posts.

I tgink before you move out and search to get links, spend some time here in the forums and see what other people do, what and how and you will learn a lot and it indeed helps build a better system for yourself. :-)
