You receive a request (per website) which states (usually incorrectly) the function of your site and also keeps the requesting domain confidential, for the time being!
I wouldn't mind, if at least after spidering, they at least had a quick flick through the results to ensure that the websites they emailed were actually relevant!
I'm all for automation, but I find a human brain is usually required at some point!
The need to bring back a personal touch. I would NEVER leave my linking campaign to the likes of them. Unfortounately It seems not everybodies standards are high when it comes to linking.

In actual fact, their linking page will be a PR4 from a reasonable quality site, so I think I would consider that a good exchange :-)
Perhaps the moral is that it is worth investigating even though I don't approve of the "agent's" methods!
