I know of several link directory scripts (indexu and links 2.0 etc) you can use to make a links directory.
However, I am looking for one that adds direct / absolute links for the submitted links (not a redirect).

Chief, you can almost certainly change the code of any of these scripts very easily. Just take a look at the site URL variable (probably very close to the redirect URL, since most directories display a clean URL), and substitute it. You'll lose click tracking ability, but your linkees will appreciate this.

There is no mod required to do this. Just use <%URL%> for the link tag and it should work :)
