What is the possibility of having a keyword search field available to search the buddy link directory on our pages.
Make this field an option for members to put on there pages or have the code in the refresh. So when someone gets a members page as a result of a search for widgets there is a way to locate the site that sells widgets.
Hope this makes sense.
Put this code on our pages.
<FORM METHOD="POST" ACTION="http://www.searchengineworld.com/cgi-bin/buddylinks/display.cgi"
ENCTYPE="x-www-form-urlencoded">
<TR bgcolor="#f8f8f8"><TD colspan="3">
<CENTER><B>Search over 600 high quailty web site for</B><INPUT
NAME="searchstring" SIZE="20" MAXLENGTH="70" TYPE="text"> <INPUT
TYPE="hidden" NAME="action" VALUE="search"> <INPUT TYPE="submit"
VALUE="Search"></CENTER></FORM>
This way if a surfer got to our pages that ranked high on a SE they would be able to access all of the members pages through a new search.
We try to stay as low key as possible - let the pages work, and random surfers that hit pages, can random surf right back out via a link, or via your menu. This is why it is important that the pages look good, have a menu to the rest of your site, and look like the rest of your site.
