Hey -

Can somebody please 'splain to me what is UP with all the Search Terms/Searches that also include the 'word' "xxasdf"? Given enough time, I might figure it out (infinite # monkeys premise). I did a search on it here first, but nothing came up.

There are a lot of unrelated searches that include "xxasdf". Just do a search for it (by itself) on any ol' SE.

There are even a few BIDS on Overture on Search Terms that include "xxasdf"!

I'm sure it's some fellow code jockey/jockette farther along the evolutionary chain than I, who has figured something out, and I'm just jealous.

Looks like mainly automatically generated pages showing up for that on the search engines and just related to a couple of industries. Don't know the logistics of how to make these pages, but they often seem to pick up on some very weird terms, as do the search suggestion tools.

There are several industries represented with that word in the Title - almost a million pages in G. I can't work out the point in creating a beacon for anyone to come along and find them all.

Wow - either there are some silly people out there or they've figured out something we don't know. There's 1.6 mil of them out there - very strange stuff... Most of them are lowest common denominator aff. sites/adsense scraper sites.

It's most likely a combination of webmasters doing stuff like this [webmasterworld.com] and spammers automatically building pages around popular search terms / keywords.
