Is there a way( with any browser functions or other tools )
to look at the javascript file for a website if it is linked
in?

i.e. is there any way for me to look at the file.js on
that site to see how they coded something?

Simply put the js file URL (http://www.anysite.com/file.js) in your browser and open the file.
