Bootstrap carousel-caption

I'm using the Bootstrap 3 carousel with thumbnails at the bottom. I wanted to give some information about the slide being shown and found the caption as an option, but when I load in my own much images, the caption disappears. What am I missing?

Are you using "carousel-caption" or "caption"?

I've found that if your image height is less than 75px and you're using carousel-caption, then your caption will get cut off or not show at all (the padding from the bottom pushes it up past the top of the carousel).

Is it better to use caption? The image height was larger than 75px, as I widened the container, the caption moved off to the right.
