I just rec'd a well-known js newsletter for developers. Is it just me, or has the code in these gone into "summer re-runs" or worse? I haven't seen a good piece of code in these newsletters in months! It's all image-flipping and similar bs.

Yes, they seem to have run out of ideas for years, now. The one useful bit I did get recently was William Bontrager's time zone script which offers a neat synch feature to present to clients who want to look up your office hours. As we do get this sort of inquiry fairly frequently, it's pretty useful. (You can look it up here [fantomaster.com], if you're interested.) Else, I'm plain fed up with mouseovers, flipping images, squeezing text and all the other gimmicks rampant.
